Hearthstone NetCacheGoldBalance=0 Bug Gets Blizzard Response
Hearthstone players on iPhone and iPad have a clearer answer on the NetCacheGoldBalance=0 disconnect bug. Blizzard now lists the issue in its 36.0 known issues thread, and Blizzard's July 2 forum update says a fix is being worked on as a priority.
Blizzard says the NetCacheGoldBalance=0 fix is a priority
This is no longer just players guessing in replies. Blizzard staff said the immediate investigation is focused on disconnects with the NetCacheGoldBalance=0 error from the original forum thread, and the team also believes the empty in-game shop reports may be related.
That still leaves room for caution. Blizzard has not posted a fix date, and it has not confirmed that every empty-shop or crash report shares the same cause. For players seeing the exact error, though, the bug is on the official tracked list.
Players are reporting iOS disconnects every few turns
The main thread started on June 23, 2026, with a player saying matches disconnected after two or three turns and required a full app restart. More replies followed from users on iPhone 11, iPhone 13, iPad 10th generation, iPad Air, and other iOS or iPadOS devices.
The pattern is rough for mobile players: a match starts, the client drops, reconnecting fails or only works briefly, then the same error returns. Several players also said reinstalling Hearthstone, restarting the device, changing graphics settings, or switching networks did not fix it.
The empty shop detail is worth watching because several reports mention it alongside the disconnect loop. That matches Blizzard asking affected players to confirm whether both problems are happening together.
Do not expect a clean player-side fix yet
For now, the safest read is that this is a Blizzard-side investigation, not a normal home Wi-Fi problem. Restarting the app or reinstalling may help rule out a bad install, but the repeated reports make it hard to call that a reliable fix.
Affected players should check the official thread before wiping the app again, especially if Hearthstone works on desktop or another device. If Blizzard asks for logs or device details, include the exact iPhone or iPad model, iOS or iPadOS version, region, game mode, and whether the shop is empty.
The next useful update should be a workaround, a hotfix, or a clearer explanation of why this error is hitting mobile players. Until then, NetCacheGoldBalance=0 looks like a real tracked Hearthstone iOS problem, not a random one-off disconnect.
